
The Location
The Community Safety Center will be on the grounds of the Palomar Mountain Volunteer Fire Department (PMVFD) between the mountain's residential communities near the convergence of the South and East Grade roads.

The Palomar Mountain community is an area of approximately 40 square miles with some 350 people in permanent residence. Annually more than
100,000 visitors come to Palomar Mountain to explore its many wonders, which includes the Palomar Mountain State Park, the Cleveland National
Forest, the California Institute of Technology's Palomar Observatory, the Christian Conference Center (accessed through the State Park), a
county park, a Girl Scout camp and the 6th Grade Camp for school children of San Diego County.
